Current Issues

Part L

Part L of the Building Regulations was revised in October 2010 as part of the government’s ongoing commitment strategy to reduce carbon emissions. This change requires a 25 percent improvement in a building’s carbon emissions over the 2006 level. However, there is a transitional provision that allows building work to be completed after this date to the 2006 edition of Part L. For more information on this transitional period please go to www.communities.gov.uk/planningandbuilding.

However, if you do have a project that requires you to build to the October 2010 level then please use the contact our heating design team on 0845 601 5111 to discuss your requirements.

More information on Building Regulations Part L 2010 and how it affects electric heating will be included on this site in due course.
